The incident, which prompted a public appeal for assistance, concluded with a suspect taken into custody while exiting a transit bus.
The original event unfolded on the evening of Tuesday, May 6th. Police were called to the vicinity of Mayfair Drive and Ardagh Road around 9:30 p.m. Reports indicated a woman had been allegedly assaulted by an unknown man while walking along the sidewalk. Two other individuals were reportedly in the area when the incident occurred. Paramedics attended to the victim, who was transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Authorities later confirmed the incident appeared to involve an edged weapon.
